Current Shapes is a textile experiment

Inspired by a mutual passion for pattern design, textiles and color, Danica and Fran came together to create Current Shapes: an on-going print project that seeks to explore their current creative curiosities within the realm of pattern and textile design.

With Danica’s fiber and textile arts background, along with Fran’s graphic and surface design training, they create work that reflects an awareness of space and a deep appreciation for the craft-making process — all while celebrating the power of collaboration.

Current Shapes is guided by the belief that the items we interact with in our everyday lives have the power to shift our perspectives. With this in mind, they always strive to create intentional hand-printed pieces that inspire connection and dialogue.

Made for those who buzz at the sight of pattern and find comfort in beaming colors, Current Shapes is about wearing art on your sleeves, detaching from convention, and allowing re-invention. It’s about loud expression, personal vision, and subtle boldness.

To creatives far and wide, we hope you find a little piece of yourself reflected here.
